Neil Campbell Rowing Centre

Located on Henley Island, the longtime home of local rowing clubs who train daily on the Martindale Pond, the rowing centre was constructed as part of the 2022 Canada Games as training and amenity space for regattas.

An elegantly cantilevered timber roof is the primary gesture - enclosing space for training and conditioning, and providing a generous overhang for the outdoor viewing area facing the water.

These images were shot in fall 2022, capturing the project from dawn to dusk within the fall landscape.

The project was awarded an 2024 OAA Design Excellence Award and was a finalist in the 2024 AZ Awards in category: “Architecture – Commercial & Institutional Projects Under 1000 SQM”
