Steve & Sally Stavro Family YMCA

Located on Kingston Road in Toronto’s East End, this new YMCA has quickly become one of the association’s most popular locations. The project takes a unique approach in partnering with a developer to house a series of fitness and aquatic spaces within the ground floor and basement of a new mid rise condo development.

This approach necessitated some unconventional space planning, generating interesting new relationships between fitness spaces and the adjacent street.

The project was photographed in fall 2022 and summer 2023.
