Verdant Hollow Farmhouse

This project is a farmhouse on an active farm in southwestern Michigan. The farm uses organic, sustainable, and forward-thinking practices to grow organic produce & pastured-raised meats. Their mission extends to the local community by offering educational programs and outreach activities.

A new home for the family that runs such a progressive farming practice needed to be robust, sensitive to the surrounding landscape, and conceived with a similarly sustainable outlook.

The farm was photographed over three days in summer 2022, focusing on capturing the architecture of the farmhouse within the working life of the farm and the domestic life of the family.
