Glimmer House
A striking red addition on the back of a traditional red brick Victorian within an established neighbourhood in west Toronto.
From the outset, the shoot aimed to capture the domestic life of the home in an unusual way that celebrates the many seemingly mundane, everyday tasks that take place within a home.
Instead of a glamorous shot with a family posed in the backyard, we sought to depict a day in the life through ritual activities – awakening in bed to the morning sun, bathing, dressing, cleaning, and a yoga practice.
The home is designed to foster the flexibility required of a household for a couple, a dog, and frequent long term guests.
