Cabin Restaurant at the McMichael Canadian Art Collection

It had been almost a decade since I had last visited the McMichael Collection but stepping into the space immediately brought back memories of past visits - the new restaurant in the museum’s lobby manages to achieve a contemporary refresh of the space while retaining the character and quaint charm that many visitors will remember fondly.

Working with a wide range of Canadian designers, Dyonne Fashina of Denizens of Design has assembled a dream team to produce custom furniture, dividing screens, buffet carts, and a hostess stand that speak to contemporary Canadian sensibilities.

The project was photographed in summer 2020 and has since been awarded an ARIDO award, and has been published in Canadian Interiors.
